I've just spawned in freelance storyboard world 2-1, in addition to the full-time kids' television gig. It's been great, there's work aplenty (by the grace of old friends and the fact that SA seems to have a huge deficit of storyboard artists.). I have not however adjusted to the twenty-hour days this double op requires. I'll figure it out. It's been fun though.

Wowzers, it's a small world! I take it you work for Clockwork Zoo then? I got told they are doing the rest of Florrie! I just did eps 2 and 3 (well, the clean versions, Jez did the initial roughs). A deificit of storyboard artists in SA you say?? Maybe I should consider moving! Did you do all the CWZ boards for Wibbly?
Hey, small world indeed! I did thirteen of the fourteen Clockwork Zoo boards for Wibbly. Started the boards for Florrie's episode four yesterday. I spoke to Jez once on the phone - will Brenton and An are coming around next week. Tiny, tiny world. And you'd totally have a job if came to Cape Town! Sun and beaches and stuff! Delighted to meet you. Keep in touch!
Jez is a top man, he's helped me out loads starting out in the business. Pretty damn talented as well. Haha, my other half is from Cape Town, although he's settled here in sunny UK now, clearly for the weather! Loved the boards for Wibbly, I'm envious of how you get the lines so perfect. Will def keep in touch, have fun on Florrie!
Yeah, its always good to have someone who knows what they're doing to give you a kick in the pants. We had Larry Jacobs (Care Bears, Beetlejuice...) here a while ago and i learned more in the week he was down than I have as long as I've been boarding. Very cool - very humbling. Thanks for the kind words. I'd love to see your Wibbly boards if you'd let me. Looking at your Florries boards this moment - Awesome!
